This is obviously my personal opinion and I am an avid burger girl. My choices were based on flavor, size of the burger (am I eating mostly bun?), sides provided, and overall value. If you have a favorite I did not include here, feel free to add it in the comments.
I’m pretty sure I have not had EVERY burger available in Puerto – but I’m game to try them all!
Drakos Angus Burger
#1 – My hands down favorite burger in Puerto is the Angus Burger from Drakos Food Truck. This burger tastes like homemade, good quality angus beef, large and juicy, with a side of crispy steak fries. It’s a hard one to beat! $8.50
Reggae Burger
#2 – Love the Reggae Burger from Reggae Café. Mostly because it has a nice ‘spicy’ kick, with the homemade Jamaican Sauce and pepper jack cheese. If you are not a fan of heat, they do serve not-so-spicy burgers also. $7.50
Pandemia Burger
#3 – The signature ‘Pandemia Burger’ from Pandemia Burger, includes a Panamanian beef patty, ham, cheese, bacon, and an egg, with lettuce and tomato, on a bakery bun. $8
Hooked on Panama American Burger
#4 – Hooked on Panama has a good old-fashioned American-style burger that hits the spot. Comes with a side of choice ( I love their crispy yucca fries). This one gets extra points for the ambiance! Includes fries and salad. $12
Volcano Burger
#5 – Gustos has a spicy version that’s a mouthful, called the Volcano Burger. It’s big and comes with crispy fries and good ketcup (there is a difference!). $11.55
