Internet services vary depending on the area. In downtown Puerto Armuelles, and the nearby barrios, there is cable internet and Fiber-optic available. Further from downtown, a dish is needed for satellite internet service. Service is available throughout Baru and all the way south to Punta Burica. It is good to ask your neighbors which service they are using and is most reliable in that area. Many locals use their phone for internet service, which is another option. A few internet cafe’s are located around town and some of the hotels and restaurants have wi-fi access for customers.
