É muito bom ver alguns novos restaurantes abrindo em Puerto Armuelles! Anacaona está um pouco escondida, fora da estrada principal e longe do centro, mas vale a pena a curta viagem. agora sou regular!
Anacaona is owned and operated by a family from Dominican Republic. Their daughter, Raysi, is often the friendly server and she speaks good English. The menu is a nice variety of dishes from burgers to pastas. I have been there 3 times, as of this writing, and every dish I have had was tasty and filling. There is a nice al fresco dining patio. They also have a large indoor dining area, bar, and upstairs lounge. I’m not a night person, but I hear that, after dark, there is music, dancing, and sometimes karaoke. They seem to have a well stocked bar and there are some interesting Dominican cocktails that are not on the menu. If you want to try something new, be sure to ask about these! Service and presentation of food has been great at every visit. Oh, another plus is that the bathrooms are modern and clean!

To get to Anacaona Restaurant, drive out of downtown Puerto, towards the Frontera. When you see the sign for CRUBA School, turn and drive behind the school approximately 2 -3 blocks. The restaurant will be on the left. It is set back off the road, with a parking area in front. Look for the bright colors!

This is a nice and awesome place to go with friends during the day. I will suggest the burgers and pricing is super afordable. 🙂
They have now added Mexican night, starting at 6pm, on Thursdays, followed by Karaoke.
