Esta foto foi tirada em 1992, quando Chiquita ainda estava operando em Puerto Armuelles. navios de carga foram carregados com bananas no cais que agora é um marco importante na cidade.
Here is a photo of the pier taken in 2015 ~ it is deteriorated now and one needs to be cautious walking on it. Some tourists and fishermen still make use of the pier for fishing (they get some big fish too!) and photo opportunities. There is talk in town of the pier being rebuilt soon ~ we all hope so.
