I recently visited the newly “officially” opened Hideaway Panama in Corazon de Jesus. The lodge is conveniently located a short 15 minutes from downtown Puerto Armuelles and across the street from a nice beach.
There are 3 spacious rooms with their own private bathrooms. Very clean and modern. Every room also has free wi-fi, a television, and air conditioning. The rooms have queen/king beds and all amenities, like sheets, towels, etc.
Each room has it’s own name. You can choose from Blue Lagoon, Tropical Forest, or Sandy Suite. The decor matches the theme.
There is a large common area, with tables and lounge chairs, a comfy sofa, complete kitchen with stove, BBQ, and all accessories. This kitchen is better supplied than my own house! With just about every cooking gadget you can think of. There are plenty of dishes, utensils, and cookware so guests can get creative and save money by cooking their own meals while staying here. There are also two large refrigerators with plenty of room. Quite a few items, like spices and seasonings, are available for everybody to share. Meals can then be eaten in the screened in common area, outside under the rancho, back in your room, or even enjoyed on the beach “picnic style”. The rancho in front of the rooms also has an outside BBQ grill for the fresh fish that can be purchased directly from the local fishermen when they come to shore in the mornings.
Rooms are available by the night, week, or month. I was told prices vary too much to print, based on the season and how long you plan to stay.
